IronGate Bulldogges is located in the California San Joaquin Valley. We are big fans of all breeds of bulldogs however, we breed Olde English Bulldogges (pronounced old English bulldog). This is the way it would have been spelled in olde English tymes. Olde English Bulldogges are NOT the same as the AKC English Bulldogs. So if you are looking for an AKC bulldog, sorry we don’t’ have any. OEB’s are a new and different breed that breeders are introducing to bulldog lovers who wish that their bulldog could do just a little more. Please do your research about Olde English Bulldogges before you buy one.

What bulldog is the original bulldog the AKC bulldog or the Olde English Bulldogge? In the early 1900’s breeders were cross breeding the English bulldog with pugs to make their faces flat and bodies shorter. Today the AKC bulldog does not resemble anything of its ancestors over a hundred years ago. Nonetheless, AKC English bulldogs still make good house pets and lap dogs. Go to my history page and see the true bulldogs of old times. There you will see dogs who earned their name.

The standard of the OEB according to the IOEBA registry is that the nose should not be pushed up between the eyes and the muzzle should be at least 1 ½ inches and no longer than 3 inches. The OEB is an athletic and healthy dog. The males are free breeders and females are free whelpers. The OEB is devoid of all breathing problems and can enjoy outdoor activities without concern except in extreme heat and cold.

To purchase one of our puppies go to our puppies’ page and click on the sales agreement icon. Read the contract and sign it. Send it in with your $300 dollar non-refundable deposit. By putting down a deposit that lets me know that you are serious. I am also turning away other homes for this puppy after I have received your deposit. Make sure you speak to me before you send your deposit and contract, because there are a lot of scams out there. At this time I will put the puppy on hold. I will allow 4 days for the deposit to get here. Anytime longer than 4 days and I will accept the next deposit from someone else.

The price on my bulldogs might be an issue, but remember that they are a new breed. No bulldog is cheap. I am also very careful that these dogs do not end up in the hands of someone who is going to fight or abuse them. I do not want OEB’s to get the notorious reputation that the pit-bull has gotten.

Our dogs are not sold for illegal purposes.
